This is an epic and probably one of the best war movies i have seen in a long time. Some might find it boring and lack character development, but if you like war movies, i can guarantee you will love it. There are some good things about it: its' realistic, it's fast paced, the battle scenes are not over-done, its' bloody and violent and it has great acting by the leading man. But what makes it so great is that it is absolutely cinematic. The cinematography is exceptional, and really brings out the director's vision of the war. It's very cinematic with beautiful photography, including a lot of well-staged action scenes that work extremely well. There are also some very nice cinematography shots (like the long shots of the army marching up the hill), and the sound effects and music are just amazing. This is a great film with a good story and a great cast. 9/10

The book may be "real life" but the movie is "art" about a girl in love in the middle of a world war. A girl who wants to feel alive and to express her feelings. I liked the movie more than the book because there were more moments that reminded me of the real life of the artist Sophie Scholl. I was impressed with the story of Sophie's family and her friend who was a reporter and Sophie's father. The movie kept my interest throughout and kept me asking questions. There was a lot of artistic ideas in the movie and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good story about a girl who has a lot of feelings and hopes to find a real life to express her feelings.

I was introduced to this film by my wife and her sister who really liked it. It had a good quality to it and I really enjoyed it. What I enjoyed most was that it was a true story about two people who had a profound impact on each other's lives. I don't think it's one of the most historic films but it was definitely worth watching.

I went into this movie not knowing much of the history but wanted to see a movie with lots of action and adventure. I came out feeling I learned a lot about WW1 and the fight between the North and the South and about German insanity during the war. I'm still not sure how it relates to WW2 but I'll definitely check this out. If you are reading this, you are probably thinking that a movie about a WW1 soldier going into battle with a spy is over the top and unbelievable. I agree, but the plot is very well done. I don't believe that the movie is too violent. It was very subtle and not enough for me to completely call this movie violent. I know a lot of people find WW1 violent and in some ways this movie is realistic, but it was very well done. It is probably my favorite movie and I highly recommend it. My rating is a 9. I have not seen it in 3 years but I was looking for it to be in my collection and now I have it and I am glad I found it.

When I saw this film I was really really impressed, I was so impressed that I wanted to watch it again. It's an incredible story of what it would be like to be an 11 year old Jewish girl in Nazi occupied France during World War II. The cinematography is extremely good, and the performances are excellent. The film is a lot darker than the book, and the film gets darker as the movie progresses. I really loved it and wish that it had the glory of the book as well as the excellence of the film. 9/10.

I loved this movie. It is a very good movie with great cinematography, great characters, and a good storyline. It makes you want to watch the original movie from 1932. But the original is much better and is now in my all time favorite films. I am not saying this is a great movie, just saying that it is a good movie. If you love war movies, watch this one.

But not surprisingly there are negative reviews. The problem is this movie isn't art. It is an anti-war movie with a pseudo-explanation of why it happened. This movie is really a tongue-in-cheek anti-war movie with a "you're either with us or against us" message. The anti-war message is a satire of some of the more recent social movements, such as anti-racism and anti-bullying. The whole message is, if you aren't with us, then you're either against us or not with us. And the same message is also painted with a little more depth. The anti-war message is especially pertinent to post-Iraq. The anti-war message is what makes this movie relevant to post-Iraq. I think the biggest problem with the movie is the anti-war message. And to me, the message is so hackneyed and exaggerated it's insulting. The movie tries to make us believe that once you have to choose your side, it's pretty simple. It's a character study of Helene. She's a very complex person, with many flaws. The whole movie is about her. She has this complicated relationship with her husband, Max, played by George Clooney. It's hard to understand how Max can be so close to Helene. I don't like George Clooney's acting. He is very unpleasant in this movie, and I don't really like him. And he is just horrible as Max. The whole movie is very uncomfortable to watch, which is especially true when you can't make out what's happening. But that's the whole point of the movie. It's uncomfortable. In the scene where Helene leaves the hospital and walks through a deserted part of Paris, it's just so uncomfortable to watch. I can't really tell you how uncomfortable it is to watch. It's very out of context. If you want to watch a movie that's uncomfortable, watch "The Passenger". This movie is more popular than "The Passenger". The movie is a lot more stylized and atmospheric than "The Passenger". The movie is also more realistic and the images are more realistic. The movie makes it look like the whole world is in war and the Paris looks like hell. Like the whole movie is living in the shadow of war. The movie makes it look like if a war breaks out, the world is going to end. It makes it look like it's really gonna happen. The whole thing feels very unreal and is upsetting. So it seems that even if you hate George Clooney, you'll still like this movie. Even if you hate George Clooney's acting, you'll like this movie. If you hate George Clooney, you'll like the movie. You'll like it because it's uncomfortable to watch. You'll like it because it's unhinged. If you hate George Clooney's acting, then you won't like the movie. The whole point of the movie is to make you uncomfortable. But I think it fails because it makes you uncomfortable.

A great adaptation of an excellent novel. And for those of you who think this is just a cheap knockoff of Saving Private Ryan, please keep in mind this is not the film you're looking for. Actually the best portrayal of heroism I've ever seen, a minor miracle when it comes to the battlefield. Not a film for those people who just want to see lots of explosions. This film shows the repercussions of the events of the war. And those effects are very well used. For those who have not yet seen it, I suggest they go for it. It's not a film for the faint-hearted. It is a good treat for those who want to know the full story. I'm not really impressed by many people on here who are complaining about it not being "true" to the book. That's what's supposed to make it interesting. If you like war stories, do yourself a favor and read the book.

I just watched this film yesterday, and really liked it. It has quite a lot of elements that don't make any sense and are just downright odd but completely in good sense. First of all, the main character Helene Deeb is something like a cross between Judi Dench, Bette Davis, Rosalind Russell and Liv Tyler. She's pretty much a very pretty girl that has some sort of mental illness. One of her symptoms is that she speaks in rhyme. And, she also acts like a child who knows nothing, but at the same time knows she has to be a part of a system that's giving her treatment. There is so much stuff like this, that you might think that it is some sort of metaphor for the horror of the real world. But no, the film is about the system that has been put in place to treat and control Helene Deeb, which is fairly childish but also quite stupid. There are people with mental problems, who are essentially treated like children, but not really by anyone who can't see how insane and ridiculous it is that they have been treated. It is not clear why Helene is being treated as she is, although I can't really tell the plot here, although it is that sort of thing. In short, the film is a nice piece of psychological realism. The best thing about it is that it doesn't try to be anything else. It actually does something very different from any other film, and you really can't explain it, but that is what the movie really is. It is just one guy trying to prove the point that mental health is a disease.

I saw the movie, then read the book. I know what I've got to do. I want to say something about this movie. First I should say that I am a German, not a Soviet citizen. I love to read, but this film is NOT a film for me. I know that we are the masters of our own destiny, but this film has nothing to do with that. It's an honest and emotional film, that does not have a pretentious style. It's a simple, beautiful and realistic portrait of the first world war. I have lived in Poland during the war. So, I felt the horror and the loneliness of the soldiers who would do anything to keep the hope alive. When they lost hope, that's when they were ready to give up. They were just incapable of understanding it. There was no hope for the Germans. It's a movie about war, about the fear, the loneliness, the conflict and the emotions. I was very pleased. It is very powerful and very well put. It's a film, not a biography, not a history lesson, not a political statement. A movie for the living. And if you have any difficulties with history, I suggest you to read the book, but it's not obligatory. I did it, and I liked it very much.

The emotions of the character of Helen Mirren's mother are painful and acute, as is the anguish she shows to her son, when confronted by her husband's war crimes, and her seemingly hypocritical sentiments towards them. There is not an element of triumphant liberalism about this film. It's a powerful, powerful film. I thought it was important to note how people are all too willing to pardon war crimes committed against innocent people by others. People should be held to account.

What a film. It's probably one of the most honest dramas I've seen in a long time. It's a very complicated tale, with no easy answers. The plot twists and turns with increasing intensity and suspense. It's probably one of the best films I've ever seen. If you are able to get past the graphic sex scenes, this is a very personal and difficult film to watch. If you like films where characters are about to die, or if you like a film that makes you think, this is a must see. A film that makes you think about your own relationships and choices.

I am a bit of an early film fan and this one made it into my top 10 films of all time list, well deserved. The casting was great with all the characters seeming as if they could have been real people. This is probably the best of all the cast movies I have seen.I think its the best of the quartet, Robert Duvall was great in it as well as Haley Bennett and even Henry Thomas did a great job with his portrayal of Colonel Philip Hamilton. Everyone in the cast was great with Toni Collette doing a great job and Matt Damon was just as good. The film was told in a very deliberate and tense way, with the suspense building as the events unfolded. The three principal actors really did their best and it was very well worth the price of admission. It was a difficult film to watch but it had a great ending which I liked a lot.

When I first heard of this film I said to myself "What on earth do I have to do to be good with this one?" Well I finally saw the film today and I was very surprised. This film is about two sisters, and what happens when they turn against each other. It's a very sad film but it's very exciting. The special effects are great, and the scenes are very exciting. The acting in the film is also very good. It was probably the best movie that I've seen in a long time.

I gave this movie a 10 because it's not that bad. In fact, it's a very good film. I was too young in 1979 to understand what the war was really about, and I don't even remember the "Korean War" for the war that the Americans were fighting in Korea. This is why I didn't understand the conflict, but I understood that most of the people in this movie were from "lower-class" families. I found it fascinating, to say the least, how many parts of this movie were missing, and how this movie, which was supposed to be based on the actual events, was only based on the characters' words. The actors in this movie were good, but the film wasn't that good. I liked that the film was realistic and realistic meant not that it was true. The most realistic part of the film was that in the end the two families got along. I liked the scene where the first family stopped their car and searched for their children, and after an hour the families stopped. I liked the ending, and the fact that the love affair continued.

As a romance I would have loved to have seen more of the husband (the best acting job) and the wife (outstanding). Even though I had seen the movie years ago, and a lot of the stories have been repeated in other movies, this one has a special meaning to me. I don't care about the history of the film, that is not important to me. What I want to know is: Why is this film so important to the story? The film is a love story, a movie about love and what it means to a person. In my opinion this is a great movie. There is always that one story you will be able to feel deep inside of you that's like the real history of the world. I think we should watch movies that are able to touch us and bring us some understanding about the world and human life. I feel sorry for people who does not understand the importance of this film and do not like it. It's just not real for them. But it's not just a movie about a love story, it's a story about the world and the way of the world. The world we live in is in crisis and that's something everyone is talking about. To have a film like this is a real treasure.

I'll be honest: I have a soft spot for movie that deals with tragic period in history, especially in the nineteenth century. I've read a lot about it, and I have a kind of an obsession with it. That said, I can't really remember all the pieces of the puzzle: I had a vague idea what this movie was about but could not guess the plot. As it turned out, I was right! A popular and quite strong German novelist named Joseph Goebbels (1896-1961) was indeed the author of this movie. He wrote about a German war against France in WWI. He didn't have a big fan base in Germany but later became a hero among the German people. Joseph Goebbels was also a major man in the German government during the Nazi era. One of his most famous books was "Mein Kampf" (1933). If you read the book you will find in it a detailed description of Nazi Germany. Joseph Goebbels took this book and wrote a movie about a German scientist named Wilhelm Krebs. Krebs, or Johann von Goebbels, is the inventor of the bomb. The film reveals the history of a German scientist whose biography has been nearly forgotten by most historians. This is the only film that I've ever seen that revealed the true character of Joseph Goebbels. I had to read the book several times to find out everything that I could about this movie. I watched it twice and I had a huge amount of questions. I never got the impression that the movie had all its stories in order. You can read the book and discover a lot more. I thought that some of the events were contradicted by the movie. The film included some spoilers. However, I believe that you will enjoy this film. This is the best film about a German man who took part in a war against France. The film includes a lot of hidden images in the movie. It is difficult to describe the film but I can say that it is a very long and complicated story. I would recommend this movie to people who have a history of looking for what they think is the most important thing in a movie and to people who have never seen a German movie before. I would also recommend this film to people who have a certain amount of knowledge about the history of Germany.

This film is a MUST see, especially if you are a true believer in the masonic theory of America. I was a "raver" in the 1970's when I first viewed this film, but it remains a staple of my cinematic world. I have not yet found a critic, or even friend, who has not seen it (with the possible exception of Christopher Reeve, whose character is like an anti-hero of its time). I can't imagine being a real American without a place of our own in this house of dominoes. Maybe if you were a child in those days, but I doubt it.

To say that this film does not fit neatly into the American box is an understatement. I have seen other American films, but I have never seen one as deep and realistic as this. The most disturbing thing about this film, is how at the same time this film is a melodrama, a sadism film, and a war film. It is so much more than any of the above, in fact it is all of the above. The story is about two Jews. One is a married Jewish man and the other is an unemployed carpenter. The Jewish man is a noble character who is about to be promoted to Field Marshall, the man is a murderer and has a major problem with conscience. The background is shown through flashbacks of how one man's conscience got in the way of his career. They are connected, but there are still strong feelings left. A great movie.

Mr. Weber is a tragic figure in the history of the German people. He killed his mother and the only two children she had. He spent the rest of his life going through the lifetimes of the women and children he had killed. His name has been sung from the grave, and if the Germans were to discover his name today, I believe he would probably still be alive. This film takes you through the whole life of Mr. Weber and the few years of his last life. To the viewer, it is as if they are watching a movie from the point of view of Weber himself. But the film is much more than that. It is about the personification of evil. The more you watch, the more you see and learn of this. We get to see the question "Does our own destiny begin with us?" the eternal question of mankind. And we also get to see how we make mistakes. So does this film make a statement about the eternal question of humanity, or a statement about the personification of evil? Probably neither. It is a statement about both. It is a movie about two people who could have been brothers, but ended up being bitter enemies. It is a movie about the inhumanity that we have to live with in the world. We could kill everyone and turn everything into dust in the name of love. But we are the ones who are being killed. And the murderers can just disappear from the world in the name of love. Mr. Weber is one of the first victims of this world. The evil in the world, and the evil that we are helping to create. Mr. Weber is such a sad story, but a wonderful one. Every character has been portrayed in such a way that we can't help but feel sorry for them. This is not an easy movie to watch. Even though the murder scenes are shocking, we can see that the film is filled with a kind of sadness. At the beginning, I found myself a little bit depressed. And at the end, it was just as sad. But the sad part of the movie is that we are all happy about the ending. That is what the director wanted us to feel.

One of the most unique films I've ever seen! Truly the quintessential film that can be enjoyed by the whole family. However, my opinion is that the adult cast was not too important. The kids were wonderful. The older kids did a terrific job, and the younger ones (especially the two younger brothers) were very good as well. They gave a solid performance! While not a 'Disney Princess' it is a great family film that is interesting and entertains from start to finish.

This movie is superb! It is a great film and beautiful. The plot is amazing and really hard to describe in words. But it is one of those movies that make you feel like you are in the middle of the past and time, and it is beautiful. I've already watched it 10 times. I love this movie.

I really loved this movie. It is a great historical movie and the characters are real. If you want to be entertained and wanting to know what happened in WW2 you must see this movie. If you like to see the movie based on the book and movie is the better film then you should definitely watch it. The movie is full of facts that makes it more believable. Don't expect a Disney princess movie like Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast but expect a great historical movie with great action and story. It is really nice for history buffs to see the movie based on the book because it makes it more real.
