Description Bernie Sanders inspired a generation - but who inspired him? This is the passionate, thoughtful biography of the founder of the American Socialist Party, five-time presidential candidate and the only presidential candidate in US history to be imprisoned for his campaign platform. The values with which lived his life and fought for social and economic justice remain in short supply today.

I was not familiar with the history of the famous American socialist, Eugene Victor Debs, until watching this documentary. I think it would be a good idea to visit Wikipedia for the information you will need in order to make an educated opinion about the life and times of Eugene Victor Debs. To the two of us who have lived in Chicago since the late 80s and 90s, we are very familiar with the lives of the former Senator, and his role in the American Socialists Party. We also know the history of the Wobbly movement, as well as the history of the Socialist Party of the US (SPUSA). What made us excited about this documentary, was the fact that the members of the SPUSA are no longer alive, and that the young members of the SPUSA, now in their 20s, were interviewed in the documentary. The first 10 minutes of the documentary are very informative, and shows how Eugene Victor Debs had many influences, as a lawyer, and as a politician. As a student of politics, I found the documentary very informative, and that is the reason I decided to watch this documentary. I am glad I did not have to wait until the end of the movie to see the interviews, and the history of Eugene Victor Debs. I strongly recommend this documentary to those of us who are interested in the life of Eugene Victor Debs, and to those who are not. The documentary is very informative and it will be great to know the background of Eugene Victor Debs. I also recommend that you do not listen to this documentary, and that you read the Wikipedia page about Eugene Victor Debs before watching this documentary. I think the information that was provided in the documentary would not be worth the effort of reading Wikipedia for the information you need.

This documentary is a very interesting and well done look into the life of Eugene Victor Debs. The interviews with many of the people who knew and worked with him in the course of his political career is extremely interesting, and well worth watching. The documentary starts out with his early life and his first political campaign. The other interviews are from his work and speeches, and the emphasis is on the work and speeches of Eugene Victor Debs, not the actual political activity that he did. The documentary does a very good job of showing the massive amount of labor, and human, effort that went into this campaign, and the success that it achieved. In addition, the documentary does an excellent job of showing the work that went into the campaign and the actual winning of the election. It is very interesting to see that the campaign was not only a part of the life of Eugene Victor Debs, but it was also part of the life of the entire union movement. It is also very interesting to see the different forms that the campaign took. It does a great job of showing that Eugene Victor Debs was a "real" politician, not a celebrity. The interviews with Eugene Victor Debs himself are very interesting, and well done. The documentary is very well done, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in this period of history. This documentary is also very informative, and the interviews with Eugene Victor Debs himself are very interesting. This documentary is very well done, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in the history of the labor movement. It is a very well done and informative documentary, and it is well worth watching.
