Description Alice (Reese Witherspoon), a recently separated mother of two, finds her life upended when three young, charismatic filmmakers move into her guest house. But her unlikely new family and a budding romance come to a crashing halt when her ex-husband shows up, suitcase in hand. A story of love, friendship, and the families we create, "Home Again" is a modern romantic comedy with one very big life lesson: starting over is not for beginners.

Hollywood is known for the formulaic romances, the romances that are so flawed and predictable that it's a wonder they were even made. "Hollywood for Dummies" by David Rooney gives a decent overview of the genre, with a large array of movie titles, such as "The Princess Diaries," "The Other Woman," "Barbarella," "The Time Traveler's Wife," "The Closer," "The Time Traveler's Wife II," "A Walk to Remember," "Dazed and Confused," and "The Others." In all, the book covers 13 movies, which means that the movie numbers could have been 10 or 11, but it was trimmed to 7. I was very impressed by this documentary. The stars, including the likes of James Woods, Joan Cusack, and Bruce Willis, discuss their favorites, and it's all from different perspectives. There's the teacher who believes in the brilliance of his students and the teacher who believes in the perfection of his students. There's the girl who thinks that there's a beauty in every man, and there's the guy who just wants to feel important. There's the man who's always stressed, always stressed, and never thinks he's not a man. There's the guy who thinks that everyone else is getting off on the fact that he's beautiful. And then there's the guy who is at home with his girlfriend and the guy who has to go out and try to make some money. The movies that the stars cover are a huge draw for the uninitiated, as they reveal the film's underlying message. They're one-dimensional, and although there's some beauty in the film, it's a shallow and uninteresting one. I'm happy that Hollywood is finally starting to embrace true artistry, and that this documentary is making people aware of the real artistry in Hollywood.
