Description In this absurdist dark political satire, a somewhat nutty and naive impoverished African American preacher, who along with his worried family and a small group of followers wishes to bring hope to the Miami projects by preaching about his own version of God based on the liberation theology and African nationalism, is forced by a nefarious character to agree to an arms deal in order to save his family from eviction and possibly start his revolution for real. What the preacher doesn't realize is that he has become a target of a complex false flag operation by the FBI to first turn him into a terrorist and then arrest him and score points in the U.S.'s war on terror. However, what the FBI does not realize is that, although a vocal revolutionary, the preacher is also a firm believer in pacifism, a loyal citizen and a very unpredictable character.

a simple and free film about a very simple and innocent topic. It's actually a perfect example of how independent cinema can be more than just a mediocre product, but can actually be an artistic masterpiece. I'm sure everyone has seen this film, and for some reason it seems to be either completely ignored, or misunderstood. It's not bad, and maybe it has more potential than we give it credit for, but the general idea of the movie doesn't seem to make any sense, and it's almost as if the director/screenwriter couldn't make up his mind whether to make a comedy or a drama. When a film is poorly conceived, it doesn't mean it can't be good, it just means it doesn't make sense at all, and no one cares enough about that to try and be creative. I give this film 7/10 for trying to be something different, but it's still not very well thought out, and I don't know why people seem to enjoy it so much. The main cast are decent, the script is good, but it just never really feels real enough. I just wish the director was a little more creative and allowed for more fluid pace, and less useless flashbacks. Sometimes I thought I was watching a film made in the 80's. To sum it up, if you have a passion for independent cinema, and don't want to spend $8 on a ticket, but don't want to spend an hour and a half on something that could be one of those classic films that makes you think a little, then this film is for you. I recommend it to anyone who has been on the fence, or if you just like a good fun movie that doesn't break any rules.

It is more than 20 years since the film was released.and it still ranks as a cult classic. I can't help but feel that the cult of this film was a bit short lived. It has been 5 years since I saw it, and still I have not been able to completely forgive it. Even now I have not seen it again. It has aged.and that is why it is still in the cult group. I'm not sure why I feel so, because I would say that in the same category as Amelie, or Road to Perdition. It is definitely a strange film, and in the same category as The Color Purple or EYES WIDE SHUT. What is it about? Is it the sense of desperation, loneliness and a need to escape? It is more than just a film about the mafia.it is about a war between the mafia and the mafia family. This is a very hard film to watch, but it is also a very moving film. The character's feelings about life are so well developed. The scenes with Michael O'Keefe, who played the older brother, really show that they are really brothers. Other characters are extremely well written. The boy who plays the younger brother, who works in the same pub, and plays the piano, and the father.all of them are very good. I really enjoyed the music. If you have seen the film, you know what I mean. The music has a very musical feel to it. Every time the music stops, it is so affecting. Also the film looks very good, with a very modern feel to it. I also really enjoyed the way the director shows the mafia's image. The camera seems to zoom in on them, and the camera work looks very good. In conclusion, The Day Shall Come is a very emotional film. It deals with a very deep subject, and it is a great film to watch if you want to think about it.

Set in New York, The Day Shall Come is a movie about four friends who go to "their place" on a Saturday night. One of the friends, Darry (Stephen Dorff), has a girlfriend who has passed away. This makes Darry's group a little odd because they all spend their time in the same small apartment. The four friends spend the night together but as the night is over they are walking outside and meeting up with the guys who have just got back from a date. It soon becomes clear that they are all still in love with one another. The rest of the movie is about how each of the four friends deal with the experience they have. We learn about Darry's new boyfriend, Bill (Charlie Day), who thinks his work is cool but is still not sure about dating women. He meets Dorff and Day and they fall in love. Day also meets Dan (Matt Craven) who is dating a girl. She is a model and a whore and he just wanted to give her a taste of what he had gotten to go through. Day and Dorff also meet up with Charlie Day's ex-girlfriend, Faith (Daphne Rubin-Vega). Faith wants to be a model, but she is still being manipulated by her father, Will (Charles Durning). He wants her to be the center of his attention but he will use her for his own personal gain. They also meet an older man, Peter (David Strathairn), who has lost his interest in his relationship with his ex-wife and is now helping his new girlfriend, Marv (Annette Bening). It is also revealed that Day and Dorff had a relationship in college and that Darry had his girlfriend, Denise (Sigourney Weaver), who is about to be a mother. However, they do not know about any of these things and they start to try and make sense of it all. They end up going their separate ways but it was because they still love one another and so they hang out and try to find some resolution. I have to admit that I had a hard time understanding the whole point of the movie because it is like a moving cartoon. It is not meant to be the most realistic film out there. It is not meant to be a movie about being in love or a movie about being a couple. It is meant to be a movie about a guy and a girl having fun with a problem. However, it is a pretty good film about the relationships of men and women and their life experiences and the struggles they go through.
