Description In the summer of 2015, legendary musician David Byrne staged an event at Brooklyn's Barclays Center to celebrate the art of Color Guard: synchronized dance routines involving flags, rifles, and sabers. Recruiting performers that include the likes of Saint Vincent, Nelly Furtado, Ad-Rock, and Ira Glass to collaborate on original pieces with 10 color guard teams from across the US and Canada, Contemporary Color is a beautifully filmed snapshot of a one-of-a-kind live event.

This movie was made in 2014 and I think it deserves more than just a 10 rating. I thought it was a great look into the world of contemporary rock. In the 80's when the glam rock was very popular and the '90's saw a real revival of punk music. I felt that the movie was pretty accurate in the way that it portrayed the music of that time. In the 90's it was the time of bands like U2, Pearl Jam, The Ramones, Fugazi, and even Pearl Jam were making music. There was also a resurgence of the blues. This movie is about some of the early 90's bands that made music for the new generation. The movie does a good job of showing the music of those bands, the bands that made it to the top, and the bands that never did. It is also interesting to see the styles that the bands changed in order to make their music more popular. For example, U2 was a bluegrass band but they changed to a country style in order to make their music more popular. The bands that were made famous in the 90's were the Ramones, The White Stripes, Fugazi, and Pearl Jam. The Ramones had a punk rock sound, but the Ramones were made famous by the addition of new music and a heavy metal style. The bands that made it to the top in the 90's were Pearl Jam, Fugazi, and Pearl Jam. The bands that did not make it to the top in the 90's were the Pink Floyd and The Beatles. The Pink Floyd was made famous by the use of psychedelic music in their songs. The Beatles were made famous by their rock music. They were also made famous by the use of psychedelic music in their songs. This movie is a great look into the music of the time. It is interesting to see what the bands made popular in the 90's. This movie was made in 2014 and I think it deserves more than just a 10 rating.
