From the title of this review, I thought it might be another film about the "fog of war" or the "mess of war", but I was wrong. This is a film about the "fog of life" and the "mess of life", about what happens to people who are in the "fog of war" or the "mess of war". The film is about an American couple, whose lives are torn apart by the war in Vietnam, who discover they have two children in the same hospital, who have both died at the same time. The children's father, who is now in the military, must deal with the pain and the loss of his daughter. The two children are a girl, who is struggling to cope with her loss, and a boy, who is now "just a kid" who seems to be doing okay, but who seems to be going through some life-changing experiences in his own life. When they discover they have two children in the same hospital, the father and the son must decide whether they want to keep the child, or send him to a home where he could experience life and become a man. The film is very realistic and very touching, with the father's fight to maintain the relationship between his daughter and his son. The scene where the daughter is "gifted" the book "My Story" was very moving. The young boy is also very relatable and very well done, and the actress playing the son's mom is very well done. This is a very powerful film, with strong performances and very moving scenes. I recommend this film to anyone who is interested in the subject of the "fog of war". It is a very powerful film, and I rate it as one of my all time favorite films. * out of *
