Description Former villain Gru (Steve Carell) is now an agent for the Anti-Villain League (AVL). He and his partner and new wife Lucy (Kristen Wiig) are sent to foil the plans of Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker), a former child actor from the 1980s who has turned evil. Gru manages to stop Bratt from stealing the Dumont Diamond, a giant pink diamond, but is unable to capture him. Like a couple of other reviews I read, I was not expecting this movie to be good. It is, however, pretty entertaining. I liked that it had a story that I didn't know much about, but still knew that it would be interesting. It had some pretty good moments, and there were some good laughs. The characters were pretty funny too. My favorite character is Baby Groot. He is adorable, and I think he is the best character. The character who is the main villain in this movie is Baby Groot's brother, Snips. I liked the part where he tells him that they were all enemies, because that is how they were supposed to be. Another nice part is when they are fighting with Snips, he is using all of his strength to knock them both down. I also really liked how they kept Baby Groot's voice. It was actually really funny when they were playing around with his voice, and he was talking with a fake, British accent. There were some really funny parts that I loved, such as when Baby Groot is at the Planet Express offices, and he sees the Star Wars logo and he just yells, "Where did you find that?" and it makes a sound like a mechanical door opening, and it made me laugh. And another good part was when Baby Groot accidentally drives a car through the robot traffic cones. That was just really funny. But there were also some parts that were a little boring. The only thing that I was expecting was a really good sequel, but I wasn't expecting to be this good. I think the director did a good job, and I think it was a very fun movie. If you haven't seen it, I would definitely recommend it.

Last year, I gave up on the project. After learning of it's slushy-horror origins, I was sure that it wouldn't live up to its promise. After all, it's based on a classic slasher movie. The film wasn't good enough to show at the theater, and I couldn't find it on Netflix, so I felt like a fool. Then, in February, I saw the trailer and loved it. I was thrilled. I wanted to see the movie, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Until today. On a whim, I went to my local store to rent the movie and was pleasantly surprised. Now, before I get into the plot, I must tell you that it is a movie that most people are not going to like. If you don't like the plot, I think you're not going to like the movie. So. The plot, you see, is about some magical mouse that is a curse, because he was given the power to bring the good ol' American Dream to the rest of the world. He is trying to stop the evil queen from using the mouse to destroy the world. Well, the good ol' American Dream has the power of destruction. And, of course, evil queen wants to use the mouse to destroy the world. What do you expect? Evil queen gets the power of destruction. Yes, the story is not exactly in the same league as the original. It is a bit more darker and the villain is evil. It is also one of the funnier films I have seen. I was also surprised by how much I laughed at this movie. I think I was actually nearly crying at the end. It's like the scene at the end of the original film, with the camera turning around and flashing on a parade. I found myself looking at my feet and smiling. It was just so funny. This film has an extremely clever ending. It's sort of like a surprise, but not really. I would definitely recommend this movie. It's one of those films that I would recommend to any Disney fan, even though it is not a film that they make often anymore. It is a perfect mix of action and comedy, which is rare these days. I will probably watch this movie a few more times, and I'll probably buy it on DVD. My rating: 8/10
