Description In 1973, five men and six women drifted across the Atlantic on a raft as part of a scientific experiment studying the sociology of violence, aggression and sexual attraction in human behavior. Although the project became known in the press as 'The Sex Raft', nobody expected what ultimately took place on that three month journey. Through extraordinary archive material and a reunion of the surviving members of the expedition on a full scale replica of the raft, this film tells the hidden story behind what has been described as 'one of the strangest group experiments of all time.'

This is a must see documentary on the Great Depression and the devastation it caused to the United States. It focuses on two major industries, coal mining and steel making. Coal mining was the backbone of the American economy, but the industry suffered a massive decline in the early 1930's. The situation is very similar to what is happening in China today. The film also focuses on the effects of the Depression on the steel industry, specifically in the midwest. Steel production was not one of the most important industries in the country. It was only a small part of the overall economy. Steel production actually saw a huge drop during the Depression. But the collapse of the steel industry in the late 1930's started a decline that would take place throughout the decade. The film focuses on the decisions that were made by the government to bail out the steel industry. But they were also responsible for the collapse of the entire economy. The government decided to support the industry by providing loans to manufacturers and by helping to build up the nation's steel infrastructure. The government also helped out with the steel industry by providing the needed capital to build up the industry. The government also tried to help out with the coal industry by giving the industry more funding and letting them develop more coal mines. But the government also used the resources of the industry to help the economy and build up the American economy. This film is very well done. I would recommend this film to anyone interested in the Great Depression and the consequences of the recession. This film is a must see.
