I am still trying to get over the fact that the film I saw last night, "Out of Liberty", is a hard one to digest. But I can say that I found the film to be a refreshing change of pace, and that it left me with a nice feeling of satisfaction. "Out of Liberty" is about two brothers named Sam and Tyler. Sam is a cowboy who has decided to head west to find his fortune. While on his way to the frontier, he meets a fellow Indian named Tyler, and the two start to grow close. However, after they find out that their father is dead, Sam decides to take his life in his hands. While Sam has his eyes set on a distant future in which his father's legacy will live on, Tyler is determined to make a go of things and live out the rest of his life in peace. The story line in "Out of Liberty" is very different from the standard Western genre. It's a film with a strong emphasis on the "Indian Factor". I think the reason why this film is so interesting to me is because the film is about the brotherhood that these two brothers have. Sam is the stereotypical cowboy who takes his life in his hands. Tyler is the Indian who always finds himself in the middle of a conflict, with neither side getting what it wants. This film, while certainly not for the Western genre, is still a great film to watch. The performances are well done. Josh Lucas, the main character, plays the character very well, and the way he was brought to life was very believable. Alex Pettyfer, the young man who plays the younger brother, did a fantastic job of bringing the character to life. I would have loved to see more from this actor, but he was also very good in this film. I also really enjoyed how the film was shot. The film, while not showing the true brutality of life in the frontier, is definitely very well shot. The backgrounds, the locations, the way the characters are presented, all of it is very well done. The film also had some very interesting plot twists, that I thought were very original. "Out of Liberty" is a very interesting film, that has some great acting, and a unique story line. It is definitely a film that I would recommend to anyone, and I really hope that you go out and see it!
